Jagaran Youth Summit: A New Beginning for Rural Youth

Empowering young minds, nurturing leadership, and inspiring change at the grassroots level.

BASE Foundation successfully organized “Jagaran: Youth Summit” on 21 May 2026 at Darul Fouz Educational Centre. It was the first official programme under its youth initiative, YUVA: Youth for Change, aimed at empowering rural youth, promoting social awareness, and developing responsible community leadership.

Around 20 young participants from Bhimpur, Harishpur, Amdole, Rupranpur, and Khutkail joined the summit and actively participated in discussions and planning sessions.

The key outcomes included the collection of youth data for future initiatives, the formation of the BASE Youth Club, and the establishment of a Core Committee to lead local development and village empowerment activities.

The newly selected committee members are:

  • Safedul Sk – Chairman

  • Naimuddin Sk – Convener

  • Sagar Shaikh – Convener

The programme was guided by Abdul Nafih Hudawi (Vice Principal, DHBC & General Secretary, BASE Foundation), Basirullah Sk (Hadia Regional Program Coordinator, Birbhum), and Sohel Mondal Hudawi (Lecturer, DHBC).

Special appreciation goes to BASE Foundation interns Munnavir, Adil, Thammeem, and Aman Sk for their sincere efforts in organizing and managing the event.

Jagaran is more than a summit; it is the beginning of a collective journey towards building responsible, skilled, and socially conscious rural youth leadership.
