The Base Computer Academy functions as the technological arm of the Base Foundation, designed to promote digital education, employability, and innovation among marginalized communities. The Academy stands as a vibrant platform for young learners who aspire to connect with the modern world through the power of computers, coding, and information technology.
Under the visionary leadership of the Base Foundation, the Academy provides structured and affordable digital training programs to school students, dropouts, and rural youth who otherwise lack access to formal computer education. The Base Computer Academy, situated in Bhimpur, Paikar (Birbhum District), has already trained dozens of students from financially weaker backgrounds — offering them free or subsidized computer literacy programs. The curriculum covers essential and advanced topics such as: * Basic Computer Fundamentals * MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Internet and Email Skills * Digital Communication and Online Safety * Graphic Design & Basic Programming * Digital Entrepreneurship and Freelancing Skills Each course is carefully tailored to meet the individual learning pace and career aspirations of students, ensuring both academic and practical readiness.
Through the Digital Literacy Project, Base Foundation is not merely teaching computer skills — it is building a generation capable of leading the digital future of Bengal.
