Base Foundation Distributes ‘Base Foundation Kits’ to 60 Impoverished Families as Part of Its Community Development Initiatives

Base Foundation distributed food kits, titled ‘Base Foundation Kit,’ to 60 underprivileged families on Sunday, March 16 at Darul Fouz Education Centre, Bhimpur. These families were shortlisted from Bhimpur, where the Base headquarters is located, as well as from the villages of Uttar Ramchandrapur, Kusumgachi, Bhagabatipur, Kalahapur, Harishpur, and Khutkail, all of which fall under the Amdole Gram Panchayat, Paikar, Birbhum, West Bengal.

Base Foundation, a non-governmental organization based in West Bengal, was founded in 2022 with a visionary commitment to community development initiatives. The foundation has expanded its efforts from providing basic educational institutions to food kit distribution, teachers' training, parenting support, spoken English crash courses, computer classes, and a special academic support scheme known as Madhyamik Sahayak, which aims to assist students preparing for their 10th-grade and higher exams.

The event was attended by Amdole Gram Panchayat Pradhan (Panchayat President), Najimuddin SK, Uttar Ramchandrapur ward member, Elyash Khan Sahib, Bhimpur village Mukhiya, and Tarique Anowar Hudawi, senior lecturer at Darul Huda Islamic University, West Bengal Off-Campus, along with several other respected leaders. During the event, the Amdole G.P. President remarked, “Although Base Foundation is still a young organization (founded in 2022), it is already sincerely involved in community development initiatives. While the state government is doing its part, contributions to community betterment cannot rely solely on it. Base Foundation has provided essential support, complementing social welfare schemes and offering unwavering assistance to the government in addressing social issues, going beyond what was expected.”

Base Foundation primarily focuses on supporting helpless widows, parents unable to provide for their children, orphans, and the most impoverished sections of society. A spokesperson for the foundation noted, "Base Foundation actively addresses social issues in the Paikar block, and its impact would be even more significant if it expands beyond the block, as requested by many visionary leaders." Looking ahead, Base Foundation plans to open five ‘Base Classrooms’ in five different remote villages to provide free and quality education to underprivileged children. “Even though I have lost my son, I feel as if I have found him again through your efforts!” said Sujiya Begum, a beneficiary, expressing her gratitude to the Base distributors.

The food kits were distributed to 21 families from Bhimpur, 10 from Uttar Ramchandrapur, 3 from Kusumgachi, 10 from Bhagabatipur, 3 from Kalahapur, 7 from Harishpur, and 6 from Khutkail. Alongside food distribution, Base Foundation remains committed to initiatives in academic scholarships, societal upliftment, women’s empowerment, and overall community development programs.
